If you are a graduate in Science or Engineering, and you are looking for a career change in Economic Computation, this Master of Science in Applied Economics is meant for you. If you are an Economics graduate or a graduate in Finance, this Master programme in Applied Economics can multiply your professional capability as an Economist or Applied Analysts. 

Hence, the MSc (Applied Economics) is for Officers working in the Civil Service, Ministries and Statutory Boards as well as Career Executives and Professionals such as Economists, Social, Business and Policy Analysts, Financial and Investment Officers in the Private Industries, Banks, Investment and Finance Houses and other private sector organisations.

You can complete NTU Applied Economics Master programme in 18 months on the part time basis while keeping your current jobs as all classes are conducted in the evening.

Specifically, the NTU programme will specialize in equipping students with the necessary skills to excel in economic policy analysis by utilizing techniques such as econometrics, financial applied econometrics, cost-benefit analysis, project evaluation, and financial modeling etc.  Such skills will be very useful for economic analysis of social policy, investment and portfolio management.

In the first intake, all classes are conducted in the evening including classes for all candidates.
